Migrate email from another provider

Bring your existing mail (folders and messages) into Orvoro over IMAP — for free.

Steps

  1. Create the matching mailboxes in Orvoro first (see Create a mailbox).
  2. Go to Email → [domain] → Migrate Email.
  3. Enter your old provider's IMAP details: server, port, and the mailbox username/password to copy from.
  4. Start the migration. It copies messages in the background; large mailboxes take longer.
  5. When complete, update your devices/apps to the Orvoro mail settings, then switch your domain's MX records so new mail arrives at Orvoro.

Tips

  • Migrate first, verify mail arrived, then cut over MX — so nothing is lost.

Troubleshooting

  • Connection failed — check the IMAP host/port and that the old provider allows IMAP (some need an app password).
  • Missing messages — re-run migration for that mailbox; confirm the source credentials are correct.
