Enable maintenance mode
Maintenance mode shows visitors a temporary message instead of a half-finished site.
Steps
- Go to Websites → [site] → Maintenance.
- Turn maintenance mode on and, optionally, set a custom message.
- Do your work, then turn it off to restore the live site.
Troubleshooting
- Still see the maintenance page after turning it off — purge the cache and hard-refresh.
- Need to keep working privately instead — use a staging site so the live site stays up.
