Create a website

Steps

  1. Go to Websites and click Create website (first time: Create your first website).
  2. Choose a hosting package you already own, or buy hosting if you don't have one yet.
  3. Pick the type of site:
    • WordPress — the most popular option, installed for you.
    • Another application — choose from the app catalogue.
    • Static site (no PHP) — for plain HTML/CSS or a site builder's export.
  4. Choose Start fresh or Migrate an existing site (see Migrate a website).
  5. Set your primary domain (register/connect one if needed).
  6. For WordPress, enter the admin username, admin email, and password, plus site title, language, and timezone.
  7. Review the summary and click to create. Your site is provisioned with free SSL shortly after.

After it's created

Manage everything from Websites → [site]: domains, backups, SSL, staging, file manager, databases, PHP, cron, cache, security, and more.

Troubleshooting

  • No hosting package? — buy one first, then return to the wizard.
  • Domain not ready? — you can create the site on a temporary address and attach your domain later under Domains.
