Add a passkey or security key

Passkeys let you sign in with your device's biometrics or a hardware security key — no password to type or phish.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Security → Passkeys & security keys.
  2. Click Add passkey.
  3. Follow your device's prompt to confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or your hardware security key (e.g. YubiKey).
  4. The passkey appears in your list. Add more than one (for example your phone and a laptop) so you always have a backup.

Sign in with a passkey

On the login screen, click Passkeys & security keys and confirm with your biometric or key.

Remove a passkey

In the same settings section, click Remove next to any passkey you no longer use.

Troubleshooting

  • Button does nothing / not supported — use an up-to-date browser; passkeys need a device with biometrics or a security key.
  • New device? — add a passkey on it, or sign in with your password + 2FA first.
