Connect an existing domain Already own a domain at another registrar? You can use it with Orvoro without transferring it. Steps 1. Go to Domains and choose Connect an existing domain. 2. Enter your domain name and follow the prompts. 3. Point the domain to Orvoro using one of these, as instructed: - Nameservers — set your domain's nameservers to Orvoro's at your current registrar (simplest — Orvoro then manages DNS), or - DNS records — keep your nameservers and add the records we show (for example an A record for your website, or MX/SPF/DKIM for email). 4. Wait for DNS to propagate (usually minutes, up to a few hours), then use re-check to confirm. Transfer instead? To move the domain's registration to Orvoro, see Transfer a domain in (you'll need the EPP/auth code from your current registrar). Troubleshooting - Still not connecting? — DNS can take time to propagate; re-check later. Confirm you changed records at the provider that currently controls the domain. - Website not loading on the domain? — make sure the domain is also assigned to your site under Websites → [site] → Domains. Manage DNS records

Manage DNS records When Orvoro manages your domain's DNS, you can edit records from the DNS page. Steps 1. Go to DNS and select the domain (or open Domains → [domain]). 2. Click Add record and choose a type: - A — points a name to an IPv4 address. - CNAME — points a name to another hostname. - MX — routes email to a mail server. - TXT — verification and email records (SPF/DKIM/DMARC). - CAA — controls which authorities may issue SSL certificates. 3. Fill in the name/host, value, and TTL, then save. Use the copy icons to grab values exactly. 4. Changes take effect after DNS propagates (usually minutes). Tips - Leave the host as @ for the root domain, or enter a subdomain (e.g. www). - For email, use the exact MX/SPF/DKIM values from Set up email DNS. Troubleshooting - Change not visible? — wait for propagation and refresh; some resolvers cache old values. - Can't edit records? — your domain may be using external nameservers; manage DNS wherever those nameservers point, or switch nameservers to Orvoro. Register a new domain

Register a new domain Steps 1. Go to Domains (or the Domains service page) and use the search box. 2. Type the name you want. We'll show whether it's available and the price in CAD, plus suggestions. 3. Select the domain(s) you want and (optionally) toggle domain privacy to keep your contact details out of public WHOIS. 4. Add to cart and check out (see Choose a plan and check out). 5. After payment, the domain appears under Domains. If it's for a website, connect it next. After registering - Manage it from Domains → [your domain]: auto-renew, privacy, nameservers, DNSSEC, forwarding, and the EPP/auth code. - Point it at a website in Websites → [site] → Domains, or manage records under DNS. Troubleshooting - Name taken? — try a different extension (.ca, .net) or a suggested alternative. - Typo after purchase? — domains generally can't be renamed or refunded once registered; register the correct one. Set up domain forwarding

Set up domain forwarding Forwarding sends visitors from your domain to another address — useful for pointing an extra domain at your main site. Steps 1. Open Domains → [your domain] and find Domain forwarding. 2. Enter the destination URL (where visitors should land). 3. Choose the redirect type: - 301 (permanent) — best for SEO when the move is permanent. - 302 (temporary) — for short-term redirects. 4. Save. Test by visiting your domain in a browser. Troubleshooting - Redirect not working? — make sure the domain's DNS/nameservers are managed by Orvoro so forwarding can apply. - Loop or wrong page — check the destination URL is complete (including https://) and isn't itself redirecting back. Turn on domain (WHOIS) privacy

Turn on domain (WHOIS) privacy Domain privacy replaces your name, address, email, and phone in public WHOIS with privacy-protected values, reducing spam and exposure. Steps 1. Open Domains → [your domain] → Registration settings. 2. Toggle Domain privacy / WHOIS privacy on. 3. Save. Public WHOIS updates shortly after. You can also add privacy when first registering a domain, in the cart. Good to know - Some country-code extensions (for example certain .ca registrant types) have their own WHOIS rules and may not support standard privacy. Troubleshooting - Toggle unavailable — that extension may not support privacy; the page will note this. - Transferring out? — you may need to temporarily disable privacy to receive transfer emails. Enable DNSSEC

Enable DNSSEC DNSSEC digitally signs your DNS so resolvers can detect tampering. Steps 1. Open Domains → [your domain] and find the DNSSEC section. 2. Enable DNSSEC. Orvoro generates the signing keys and shows a DS record. 3. Publish the DS record at your registrar (if the domain is registered elsewhere). If it's registered with Orvoro and Orvoro-managed, this is handled for you. 4. Allow time for the DS record to propagate; verify status on the same screen. Troubleshooting - Validation errors after enabling — a mismatched or missing DS record breaks resolution; remove DNSSEC, then re-add and republish the DS record carefully. - Registrar has no DNSSEC field — some registrars don't support it; you may need Orvoro-managed nameservers. Set your domain's nameservers Nameservers decide which service answers DNS for your domain. Use Orvoro's nameservers to manage DNS here, or point to another provider. Steps 1. Open Domains → [your domain] and find Nameserver mode / Set nameservers. 2. Choose a mode: - Orvoro-managed — uses Orvoro's nameservers so you can edit records on the DNS page. - Custom — enter the nameservers your other DNS provider gave you. 3. Save. Use re-check / delegation check to confirm the change has taken effect. 4. Nameserver changes can take a few hours to propagate worldwide. Troubleshooting - Records not editable in Orvoro? — you're on custom nameservers; manage DNS where those point, or switch to Orvoro-managed. - Delegation check fails? — wait for propagation and re-check; confirm you saved the exact nameserver hostnames. Transfer a domain in

Transfer a domain in Before you start At your current registrar: unlock the domain, disable WHOIS privacy if it blocks transfers, and get the EPP / auth code. The domain must be older than 60 days and not recently transferred. Steps 1. Go to Domains and choose the Transfer option. 2. Enter the domain name and the EPP/auth code from your current registrar. 3. Add to cart and check out (a transfer usually includes a 1-year renewal). 4. Approve the transfer email if your current registrar sends one. Track progress under Domains → Transfers in progress. 5. Transfers can take a few days to complete, controlled by the registries. Troubleshooting - "Invalid auth code" — copy it again exactly from your current registrar; regenerate it if needed. - Transfer rejected — make sure the domain is unlocked and not within 60 days of registration/last transfer.
