# Set up cron jobs

Cron jobs run commands on a schedule — for example a real WordPress cron for reliable scheduled posts and maintenance.

## Steps

1. Go to **Websites → [site] → Cron**.
2. Click **Add cron job**.
3. Set the **schedule** (how often it runs) and the **command** to execute.
4. Save. Edit or remove jobs from the same page.

## WordPress tip

For consistent scheduling, disable WordPress's built-in visitor-triggered cron and add a real cron job that runs `wp-cron.php` on a fixed interval (e.g. every 5–15 minutes).

## Troubleshooting

- **Job didn't run** — check the schedule and command syntax; confirm the path is correct.
- **Runs too often** — widen the interval to reduce load.
