# Set up forwarding and aliases

## Forward a mailbox

1. Go to **Email → [domain] → mailboxes** and open the mailbox.
2. Add a **forwarding** address to send incoming mail elsewhere. You can keep a copy in the mailbox too.

## Add an alias

Aliases (like `sales@` or `info@`) deliver to an existing mailbox without needing a separate account.

1. On the domain's email page, add an **alias** and point it at the destination mailbox.
2. Mail to the alias now lands in that mailbox; the mailbox can also send **as** the alias.

## Troubleshooting

- **Forwarded mail bouncing** — the destination provider may reject forwarded mail; keeping a local copy plus SPF/DKIM set up helps.
- **Alias not receiving** — confirm the alias points to an active mailbox and your email DNS is verified.
