# Assign domains and subdomains to a site

## Steps

1. Go to **Websites → [site] → Domains**.
2. **Add a domain or subdomain** you own (register or connect it first if needed — see *Connect an existing domain*).
3. Set your **primary domain** — the main address visitors use and that the site canonicalizes to.
4. Make sure the domain points to Orvoro (nameservers or DNS records) and issue **SSL** for it.

## Troubleshooting

- **Domain added but site won't load** — confirm DNS points to your site and has propagated; issue SSL under **Websites → [site] → SSL**.
- **Mixed content warnings** — set the primary domain and ensure links use `https://`; purge the cache.
